2007 Alabama Annual Retreat

Plymouth Bluff -- Oct 19-21, 2007

The 2007 annual chapter retreat was held jointly with the Mississippi Chapter at Plymouth Bluff Environmental Center on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway just outside Columbus, MS.

The weekend was filled with interesting speakers from both states, covering a variety of topics. Hikes, horseback riding, antebellum home tours, birding and fishing were among the outings conducted. There was also time to network with various Sierra leaders and to form new alliances with groups working on similar issues on both sides of the state line.

Delicious meals were served using locally produced, and largely vegetarian entrees.
